Harvest Church of Murfreesboro
Harvest Church came to me with a need for a website upgrade. Their old website was Wix based and didn’t have the capabilities they needed as a growing church with a worldwide audience. I pitched switching to WordPress and thankfully they trusted me to overhaul their whole site and move it to the new platform.
There were a few “must-haves” for the Harvest Church website:
⋅ A live social media feed
⋅ Connection to YouTube
⋅ Provide the website visitor with the ability to tithe
Other than that, I was tasked with moving all of the existing content from their old website, onto the new one in a visually appealing way.
The theme I used for the church was Divi because I find it’s the easiest theme for people to use who don’t have experience with WordPress. Divi uses a simple “drag and drop” interface with clear and easy ways for anyone to go in and make adjustments. A heavily coded website wouldn’t be beneficial to the staff at Harvest Church if they couldn’t use it and make adjustments themselves.
From there I got to work trying to make sure that all of the information the church wanted to convey was displayed with a mix of beautiful stock imagery (via Unsplash) and pops of color.
I’m so thankful for the team at Harvest Church for being so open to change and trusting in my design and development. For more information on Harvest Church, you can contact them through their website or via email harvestchurch.murfreesboro@gmail.com
